Now, he’s made his way to Broadway — literally. Rodgers pulled up to the Tony Awards on Sunday night, catching the general viewing public by surprise in the process. The four-time NFL MVP has been to many an awards show over the years. That didn’t make him look any less like a fish out of water here, something the Twitterverse pointed out with reckless abandon.

Perhaps Rodgers is an appreciator of the fine arts. Or he’s trying to embed himself into the fabric of New York’s extracurricular scene. Either way, he and teammate C.J. Uzomah certainly caught some glares under the glimmering United Palace spotlights.

For what it’s worth, Rodgers and Uzomah did their best to get in the mood. Rodgers showed up to the showcase of stuffiness in a sleek, coffee brown suit and suede shoes. Uzomah did his best to outshine his signal-caller. The hulking tight end was a picture of elegance, waltzing around in his Sunday best (tuxedo).

Regardless, Twitter was always going to Twitter. Check out some of the best reactions to the cameo that no one saw coming.

Say what you want about Rodgers. He’s doing his best to fill out his honorary New Yorker punch card. Next up? Getting into a fight with a pigeon, perhaps.
